Who are we? A family bakery based in Woodchester in the heart of the South Cotswolds.
What makes Plenty! pies so different?
We source the unusual and the exciting to create winning combinations that fill our delectable golden short crust pastry.
With more than 150 recipes we’ve devised, we bake a selection of at least six fillings each week. We change our range regularly, reflecting the seasons and our latest inspirations. Our fillings comprise game, beef, chicken, fish and vegetarian options.
Our pies are award winners! We won one of just 21 golds nationwide in the British Pie Awards 2015 for our salmon pie and a bronze for our duck & gammon. In 2014, the first year we entered, our Breton chicken was crowned ‘class champion’, beating more than 100 other chicken pies.
We have a personal relationship with our suppliers. Our meat comes from a highly reputable Gloucestershire butcher; our free range chicken is from Creedy Carver in Devon. The gammon is ‘Red Tractor’ assured, the standard that guarantees ethical conditions (including transport) for the pigs.
Plenty! Pies was set up by Marc and Kate Birch in November 2010. We live in Nailsworth in Gloucestershire and make our pies in our specially converted bakery in the town.
We sell our pies in a number of farmshops, cafes, delis, garden centres and pubs throughout Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and South Gloucestershire and at Stroud, Cheltenham and Cirencester farmers’ markets.
