For the very freshest Christmas produce, from sprout stalks to sweet parsnips, Christmas puddings to delicious apple juice, wine and real ale, come along to a farmers market this Christmas.
Don’t forget to order your free range turkey, goose, duck or chicken early from the stallholders to avoid disappointment.
Christmas market dates
Stroud Goodwill Evening; Friday 4th December 2025
The annual Goodwill Evening market in the Cornhill Square in Stroud will take place on Friday the 4th of December this year. The market runs from 4pm until 9pm and this will be its 25th year.
Although we invite local producers to take part, this is not a farmers’ market. We encourage applications from traders selling fairly traded products, hand-made quality gifts, and gourmet food & drink. There will be a cafe, a selection of hot food stalls and mulled wine and cider.
Stalls for this very popular event are strictly limited to 35 and will cost the same as last year as we hold the price for 2026; £55, including an 8ft x 4ft table covered by a canopy and ambient lighting. No half stalls are available although shared stalls are allowed with the permission of the organisers. If you need electricity, it must be pre-booked and is subject to availability.

For the thirteenth year we are running our Christmas markets in the Cornhill Market Square (home of the Farmers’ Market) on the final days leading up to Christmas. The last few days before Christmas are very busy in Stroud and we are offering stalls to makers and traders selling quality products. Although we encourage local producers to take part, these are not farmers’ markets. Stalls for these markets are strictly limited and will cost £35 per day (or £90 if you book all 3 days), including an 8ft x 4ft table covered by a canopy. No half stalls are available although shared stalls are allowed with the permission of the organisers. If you need electricity, it must be pre-booked and is subject to availability.
