Hi, my name is Sally, I am ‘The Painswick Beekeeper’. I have 4 Apiaries, all local to Stroud, Painswick (less than 4 miles as the bee flies), Miserden (6 miles) and Coberley (10 miles). I love working with my bees, my aim is to keep my apiaries sustainable so I rear all my own queens, and only use wax produced by my bees; that way I can also minimise the threat to the health of my bees.

Come along to see me (and my Mum, if she’s not spending money at the other stalls in the market!), taste my delicious honey and sniff the aromatic beeswax products. ‘The Painswick Beekeeper’ stall is at the market once a month, on the second Saturday. To give you the opportunity to taste a variety of the wonderful honey that our County has to offer I also sell honey produced by other Beekeepers, local to Cheltenham (approx 15 miles as the bee flies) and, Ross-on-Wye (20 miles).

In the Summer months I bring my bees along too, it’s great for everyone young and older to see natural history first hand. See if you can spot the Queen. Bring your honey jars back and I will recycle them for you.
