Inspired by American craft ales, a long-standing love affair with British real ales, an interest in Cirencester’s brewing history and using the town’s Roman origins in name, we set up Corinium Ales in November 2012.

Since then we have been offering and selling our award winning ales to a whole variety of wonderful market customers.

Our “Roman Collection” makes up our core range and comprises three classic beer styles: ‘Corinium Gold’ I (4.2%); ‘Centurion Stout’ II (4.7%) and ‘Ale Caesar’ IPA III (5%).

In addition, we create seasonal brews: ‘1 AD’ Porter (4.4%) for the winter and ‘Pliny the Elderflower’ (3.8%) for the spring/summer, as well as bespoke brews and one-off small batch brews. These have included beers with locally picked mulberries, allotment grown pumpkin and rhubarb, garden grown and feral fresh hops, as well as using the occasional sprinkling of spices.

So whenever possible there is usually something different on the market stall for you to try.

All our brewing, bottling and labelling is done by ourselves and all our ales are bottle-conditioned which allows them to develop and mature in the bottle giving a full flavoured drinking experience.

We look forward to seeing you for a tipple or two on the first and the fifth Saturday of the month.
