From Christmas trees to lantern parades, there’s a lot to look forward to this Christmas in Stroud…

Come to one of the Christmas markets on Wednesday 21, Thursday 22 and Friday 23 December to discover a wide range of crafts, gifts and food. The Farmers’ Market on Christmas Eve (Saturday 24 December) will be the last market before Christmas, running at the usual time of 9am-2pm. Markets return in the New Year at Gloucester on 6 January, Stroud on 7 January and Swindon on 8 January.

View the impressive number of Christmas trees on display in St Laurence Church during the 12th Christmas Tree Festival from 27 November-4 December. See how local businesses, schools and organisations have each decorated their own trees in this magical festival.

Get into the Christmas spirit at Stroud’s Goodwill Evening on 2 December. Enjoy a spot of late-night shopping at the special market stalls and visit the restaurants and cafés that are keeping their doors open for the event, all topped off with a fabulous lantern parade through the town.

Immerse yourself in a different kind of market experience at the Winter Wonderland at The Goods Shed from 9-22 December. Artists, designers and artisans will take over the space to exhibit their goods while creating a performance space too.
