‘Inspired by nature, realised in glass’

The Ye Green Men are James and John Barker who started making fused glass with a small microwave kiln in 2014. The glass addiction happened rapidly and now they have two full-size kilns in a dedicated studio in Berkeley where they live.

They try and do things with glass that they don’t see other glass artists doing – using Pagan, steampunk and gothic elements and images from myth and magic.

Alongside this they also make more traditional glass pieces from meadow scenes, dining platters, rainbow light catchers and cufflinks and earrings, with special Christmas-themed pieces available in December. With prices starting from just £5 it won’t break the bank to own a piece of original fused glass!

Whatever they are making, they enjoy it immensely and the best compliment they ever receive is when someone looks at their stall and says “now, I’ve never seen that before!”
