Jim Morris was small holder from Ashleworth where he spent his whole life working on the farm and was an expert in Gloucestershire apples and top fruit from the orchards. He was an apple expert! and produced lots of different varieties of apples, green gauges and plums from their own orchard to sell at the market.

Jim sold at Stroud Market during the growing season with his wife and daughters, usually between May and late autumn. Fruits include plums, green gauges, apples, pears, gooseberries and cherries. Jim’s memory and heritage is carried on at the market by his daughters who continue to sell the fruit in season at the market.
